AFRICA TRIPS, ARTISTS, Education

Meet our Gulu, Uganda trip team that leaves Sept. 22nd!

On Sept 22nd, 9 people from 3 different cities will set out to travel to Gulu, Uganda. The purpose of this trip is to meet the Acholi people at the Village of Hope and help our Mocha Club partners on the ground there by giving color to the village with murals in the orphanage and school.  Our team will also be teaching an art and music class to the orphans.

Many of the team members have personally supported the Child Mothers + Vulnerable Children Mocha Club project so it will be fun for them to finally meet the people!  Meet the Uganda trip team…

Michael & Lisa Gungor from MC Sponsor The Gungor Band out of Colorado
Logan Martin, MC Sponsor singer/songwriter from Oregon
Amy Courts, MC Sponsor singer/songwriter from Nashville
Genevieve Jewell who works for MC Sponsor Lady Antebellum‘s management team
Nate Griffin and Stephen Proctor with GI.inc, a design & production company in Nashville (Stephen will be blogging with video & photos during the trip!)
Melissa Payne, Mocha Club member
Missy Zahn (me!), Mocha Club’s Artist Relationship Director who will be leading the trip

We will be sending updated blogs as often as the team can find internet access. We would love for you to share in the journey with us as we travel across the globe!

I went to Uganda for a month this summer. We spent about a week in Gulu and it was absolutely amazing. I know that the members of this team will have an amazing time. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you go. I hope you get as much out of your trip to Uganda as I did in mine.

    Yours in Christ
