As the summer comes to a close, we are incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to intern with Mocha Club. We have learned so much about business, merchandise and why Mocha Club truly believes “they need Africa, more than Africa needs them.” We are so excited about what’s ahead! The #blogAble trip is leaving today and some BIG changes are going to be revealed in September. We cannot wait for you all to hear, and to watch ourselves, as the future of this great organization unfolds.
As the summer comes to a close we perused our introduction blog posts to see if all our lofty Nashville dreams were accomplished. Emily never did buy those boots, but she did have many visits to The Frothy Monkey.
Emily, Christina and myself all made it to The Bluebird Cafe at some point, or another. I personally saw Dawes, Bob Dylan, Wilco and Josh Ritter and thus all my Americana dreams came true. We’re for sure going to miss the music, the metropolis vibes and most certainly all the local food….
I can not express how appreciative we are for this opportunity to work alongside the most amazing people, helping others.
If you are reading this and pondering interning for the Mocha Club, you should. It’s an opportunity not to be missed, and I speak for us all when I say we were lucky to have been a part of such a wonderful organization.
And for our final fun day we’re going to the country…. to the Loveless Cafe!
