The “Where are they now?” Edition

Remember Francis? We previously shared the inspiring story of this exemplary student at New Dawn school in Kenya and his “hope for the future.” His story began with the pain of losing both his father and mother within four months of each other. He was orphaned, a “child head of household,” caring for his little brother, working on the streets of Nairobi – all at 9 years old. He was later rescued by a family who connected him to New Dawn Educational Centre. Over the years, he became a star student and leader of the local boy scout troop.

Now, 4 years later he is an urban-gospel musician playing to local youth gatherings and rallies. He also recently released his first music video inspired by the story of David in 2 Samuel, where he “danced before the LORD with all his might.” Check out the track, “Bully Dance”, (warning..this will *seriously* get stuck in your head). Enjoy and share with your friends about the great work being done at New Dawn and the video of our good friend, Francis!
