We recently got word from Brad Phillips of Persecution Project Foundation (our partners in Jaac) that Jaac, Sudan was bombed, where African Leadership and Mocha Club have supported relief flights and the digging of wells.

Clean water for the village of War Lang

According to the Sudan Tribune, a Sudanese newspaper, the bombings were targeting Darfur rebels, but multiple civilians were injured by the air raid.

Even in these sad times, we do not lose hope and we do not quit. Once the rainy season ends, our partners will continue to build wells and provide clean water to those in Jaac. In fact, the Persecution Project recently wrote an article titled “Thanksgiving Amidst an Uncertain Future“.

Please be in prayer for the people of Jaac, including the wounded and the families of those killed, as well as for Brad who will travel to Jaac to assess the damage. As December approaches and the rainy season ends, also be in prayer for our partners are they begin to dig new wells!
