It’s fashionABLE intern Bianca here! Can you believe November is almost over? Time’s been flying by over at the fashionABLE and Mocha Club offices. With scarf orders coming in left and right, we’ve all kept busy pressing, tagging, and packaging scarves to send off to all our customers for the holiday gift season!
Last month, there were two events showcasing fashionABLE and the Mocha Club, and they were both on the same day – Halloween! Barrett spoke at Belmont University at a student seminar and discussed how faith has affected his role as the fashionABLE and Mocha Club founder. Marisa and I sold scarves to some students, and I even got to meet Barrett’s wonderful parents.
At the same exact time, Jordan, the head of fashionABLE’s retail development department, hosted an even on the other side of Belmont’s campus. Jordan’s event focused on Mocha Club. Matt Wertz served as the guest speaker, and he shared his connection to and experiences with Mocha Club. With two successful event in one day, it’s safe to say that fashionABLE and Mocha Club got some new and wonderful supporters!
In other news, my own student event that featured Barrett and fashionABLE got some major recognition! At the end of September, I held a book-release event for TOMS CEO Blake Mycoskie’s new book, “Start Something That Matters,” and I featured Barrett and fashionABLE on my social entrepreneurship panel held at the event! TOMS asked me to write a short blogpost about my event, and on Halloween, I was excited to learn that my blogpost had been posted on TOMS official blog and Facebook page, which has over 1.2 million fans! I’m so excited that my involvement with TOMS and social entrepreneurship has allowed me to share the fashionABLE story with more people than I could’ve ever hoped to!
Until Next Time,
