Relationships take work…What to do when someone is HIV+, and the other isn’t?

Every relationship takes work – dating, parents, friendships, siblings. Especially marriage. Now imagine, in your marriage, someone is HIV +…and the other isn’t. That doesn’t have to be the end to the relationship. Our partners at HEKO are specifically working with couples who face this potentially risky but very manageable situation. Providing counseling that fosters emotional healing as well as medical advice, HEKO hopes to encourage couples to stay together. One woman who lives in this situation each day, and is counseled by HEKO, said: “I finally found acceptance after several years of torture, discrimination, and rejection. Being married and to establish a family is the hope of every woman.”
